7 Card Stud Rules - How To Play Seven Card Stud
Stud is the game that requires alot of skill and strategy.
Betting limits are in mulltiples of two (e.g. $2/$4, $8/$16)
Minimum buy-ins are usually 10 times the low bet. So $80 for a $8/$16 game. Minimum buy-in is a bad idea thoe.
ANTE: the typical ante is 10%-25% of the betting limits. So .50 cents, for a $5/$10 game.
DEALING The dealer deals one card at a time around clockwise, starting at his left, he stops dealing when everyone has 2 pocket cards face down and one face up, a totall of 3 cards.
Now the dealer indicates who bets first, this begins with the player showing the lowest card. If there is a tie, suits resolves. spades(high), harts, diamonds, clubs(low)
Now this bet opener, must bet "twice" the ante or fold!
The next players call the bet, or raise the low betting limit, or fold
All bets on this round are fixed at low-bet limit.
4th street
Now the dealer deals out another face up card. The betting is opened by the highest ranking hand.
If the opener hand is a pair, he may bet at the high limit, and everyone else must call the high bet to play, other than that all bets are fixed at the low limit and everyone may CHECK, CALL, RAISE, or FOLD
5th,6th street
two more identical rounds as 4th street, so now you will have
2 cards face down, 3 cards face up
betting is the same.
7th street
The last dealt card is the 7th street or river. This is a face down card and all bets are at the high limit.
SHOWDOWN
After all betting is done.
The person who opened the betting this round must show his cards, all other players have the option to muck thier hand if they can not compete.
