The Indianapolis Police Department raided an illegal poker club last  week and among those charged with committing a crime was a trooper with the Indiana State Police, according to media reports in Indiana.

Trooper Kyle D. Freeman, 30, a canine officer and a seven-year veteran of the state police, was among 60 people charged at the Pinnacle Club on Pendleton Way in Indianapolis, Ind., reports said.

Freeman and most of the others were charged with unlawful gambling, a misdemeanor, and will be sent summons, reports said.

Three men accused of running the Pinacle Club poker games, however, were arrested and charged with felonies, according to the reports.

Ryan Roe, 36, the club owner, was arrested and charged with promoting professional gambling; Donald Kincaid, 65, was arrested and charged with illegal gambling and carrying a firearm without a license; and Richard Harvey, 28, was arrested and charged with illegal gambling and also for an unrelated civil contempt warrant, reports said.

Kincaid had a gun hidden in his boot, reports said.

The poker players charged were males and females, and ranged in age from 18 to 70, reports said.

In addition, Indy police seized from the club poker chips, $6,000 in cash and computer equipment, reports said.

After the bust, the state police pulled Freeman off canine patrol and assigned him to administrative duty, pending an investigation, reports said.
