Triplejack Poker Boss Responds to Story

From time to time, PokerHelper.com will print e-mails sent in by readers.
The following e-mail was recently received:
“Tom: I recently read your article posted on PokerHelper.com (Don’t Confuse Triplejack Poker with Roulette, April 4, 2007) and wanted to thank you for making mention of our poker site. However, I wish to correct a few things.
“Triplejack absolutely is a FREE poker web site. We are not a so-called ‘free’ poker site as you described in your article. Our game actually is free to play for everyone. We do have a Power Player membership available. However, that is only to gain access to additional game features and remove the advertising. Any free member is able to play, accumulate stats and even win prizes (although free players must send in a registration by postal mail to be eligible for prizes as outlined in our terms and conditions).
“You seemed to be upset about our all-in policy. Our guidelines do indicate as you mentioned that a player may be banned for going all-in every hand, but when we say ‘every hand’ we mean ‘every hand’ not just going all-in a lot of the time. Going all-in a lot of the time is one thing, but going all-in EVERY hand is a completely different story and is not acceptable play at Triplejack.
“Believe it or not, we have seen players register and never play a single hand in any matter other than all-in and that does not add much value to our poker community and therefore is not acceptable. This also happens to be a rule that is widely accepted in our community.
“Our game is still no-limit Texas hold ‘em, our rules are in place to make Triplejack a fun place to play and I think you will find ALL of our members agree. I would be happy to discuss this or any other aspect of our game with you further.
“Sincerely, David Finkelstein, President and CEO, Triplejack.”
