So who’s cashing in at the main event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP)?
A total of 6,358 people paid $10,000 apiece to enter the event, and the top 621 finishers will finish in the money and earn at least $20,320.
With about 100 players left in the 2007 WSOP main event, here are the players of note who were knocked out of the tournament and finished in the money:
Poker pro Gavin Smith of Las Vegas, Nev., USA, finished in 592nd place and earned $20,320.
Tony Hachem of Victoria, Australia, brother of 2005 WSOP main event winner Joe “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie” Hachem, finished in 552nd place and earned $20,320.
Todd Brunson of Las Vegas, son of two-time WSOP main event champion Doyle “Texas Dolly” Brunson, finished in 459th place and earned $29,883.
Pamela Brunson of Las Vegas, daughter of two-time WSOP main event champion Doyle “Texas Dolly” Brunson and brother of Todd Brunson, finished in 364th place and earned $34,664.
Poker pro Robert Mizrachi of Sunny Isles Beach, Fla., USA, finished in 357th place and earned $34,664.
Actor Tobey “Spiderman” Maguire of Los Angeles, Calif., USA, finished in 292nd place and earned $39,445.
Sports handicapper Jeffrey “Jeff Allen” D’Ambrosio of Henderson, Nev., USA, finished in 234th place and earned $45,422.
Poker pro Carlos Mortensen of Las Vegas, who won the 2001 WSOP main event, finished in 217th place and earned $51,398.
Hal Lubarsky, a blind poker player from New York, N.Y., USA, finished in 197th place and earned $51,398.
Poker pro Robert Varkonyi of New York, who won the 2002 WSOP main event, finished in 177th place and earned $51,398.
James Kasputis of Rockford, Ill., USA, who earlier this year organized a WSOP qualifying tourney for deaf poker players, finished in 127th place and earned $58,570.
John Moonves of Los Angeles, Calif., USA, brother of CBS Television head honcho Leslie “Les” Moonves, finished in 119th place and earned $58,570.
Berry “Numbers” Johnston of Bethany, Okla., USA, who won the 1986 WSOP main event, finished in 113th place and earned $58,570.
