Kalmar Favored to Win

Moments after the final table at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event in Las Vegas was determined early Monday morning, Internet sportsbooks around the world began setting odds on who would win the WSOP main event title.
The odds set by Irish sportsbook Paddy Power (www.paddypower.com) are typical of the odds being set worldwide.
Paddy Power has made Jon Kalmar a 3.5-1 favorite to win the title, even though he’s not the chip-leader going into final-table action.
Kalmar is third in chips, behind chip-leader Phil Hilm and chip-runnerup Tuan Lam.
Hilm is listed by Paddy Power at 4-1 odds to win the title.
Lam is listed at 4.5-1 odds.=A0
Ray Rahme, who has the fourth-most chips, is 6-1 to win the title.
Lee Watkinson, who has the sixth-most chips, is 7-1 to win the title.=A0
Lee Childs, who has the fifth-most chips, is 8-1 to win the title.
Hevad Khan, who has the seventh-most chips, is 11-1 to win the title.
Alex “The Mad Russian” Kravchenko, who has the fewest chips of anyone at the final table, is 12-1 to win the title.
And, according to Paddy Power, Dr. Jerry Yang, who has the eighth-most chips, is the longshot to win the title, at 14-1.
The odds reflect how much in winnings a bettor will receive if his selection goes on to win the main event title.
For example, if a bettor wagers $1 on Yang at 14-1 to win the title and Yang wins, the bettor would get back his $1 bet plus $14 in winnings.
Main event final-table action is set to get underway Tuesday afternoon.
