Three armed robbers got away with an undetermined amount of cash Thursday after robbing a poker tournament at a Knights of Columbus hall in Chattanooga, Tenn., USA.
According to the media reports out of Tennessee, three black men wearing masks and toting guns entered the hall, where the Chattanooga Poker Club was holding a tournament, at about 6 a.m. Thursday and demanded money from players.
After ordering the players to lay on the floor and then robbing them, the bandits fled, media reports said.
One shot was fired in the hold-up but no one was injured, media reports said.
On Friday, Chattanooga police arrested a white man and charged him with being the getaway driver for the black poker bandits, media reports said.
Arrested and charged with 11 counts of aggravated robbery Jefferson B. Kirkland of Chattanooga, media reports said.
Knights of Columbus officials said the poker tournament was not a K of C event, but that the poker club had rented the hall for its tourney, media reports said.
