What’s my Language?
Written by Tom Somach in Poker NewsOnline poker room Ultimate Bet is going international.
Its poker tables are already available to poker players worldwide and have been for some time, but now Ultimate Bet will be speaking everyone’s language.
The Canada-based online room announced that its website, www.ultimatebet.com, is now available in 14 foreign languages, in addition to English.
“The language of poker is universal,” said Ultimate Bet spokesman George MacLean in a news release.
“We’re thrilled to make our non-English-speaking poker players feel more comfortable at our Texas hold ‘em tables and we’re excited to make it easier for new players around the world to connect with our poker community,” he said.
According to Ultimate Bet, its website is now available in Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, French, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Japanese, Chinese and German.
Players can access a language bar by visiting the Ultimate Bet website, and then can bookmark the translated site for quick access to all of Ultimate Bet’s translated online poker promotions, tutorials and information, the online poker room said.
As impressive as the list of languages is at Ultimate Bet, it’s nothing new.
Many other online poker rooms are available in foreign languages, including Poker Stars (www.pokerstars.com), which offers English and a dozen other languages.
