A Michigan woman was arrested Wednesday for leaving her children in a car while she played poker.

According to media reports, the 36-year-old woman from Grandville, Michigan, USA, whose name was not released, was charged with abuse and neglect, after police found her three children at 1 a.m. Wednesday in a car outside a bar in the tiny town of Wyoming, Michigan, USA, while she was in the bar playing poker.

The children are ages 5, 10 and 15, the reports said.

Police found the children after a passerby noticed the sleeping kids alone in the car and called 911, the reports said.

The woman had been in the bar, Woody’s Press Box, for a significant period of time, playing Texas hold ‘em in a charity poker tournament, the reports said.

Police contacted the children’s father, who came to the bar and picked them up, the reports said.

Police declined comment on the relationship of the parents, the reports said.

The abuse and neglect charge is a misdemeanor, the reports said.
