Phil “Poker Brat” Hellmuth Jr. has won 11 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, more than anyone else in history.

Between his poker winnings and commercial endorsements, he’s a millionaire many times over.

Considered one of the best if not the best poker player in the world, he hobnobs with celebrities, appears on ESPN poker telecasts regularly and claims he’d be a billionaire if he accepted every business offer presented to him.

But all of that pales in comparison to his latest accomplishment.

Yes, you haven’t made it in America until your mug appears on a beer can.

Hellmuth, a Wisconsin native who grew up not far from Milwaukee, America’s beer town, has struck a deal with the Miller Brewing Company of Milwaukee to have his face, bio and quotes appear on three kinds of beer, beginning this summer.

According to media reports out of Wisconsin, Hellmuth’s picture, biography and some of his more memorable quotations about poker will grace some 12 million beer cans.

The lucky brews are three of Miller’s most popular: Milwaukee’s Best, Milwaukee’s Best Light and Milwaukee’s Best Ice.

“Watching the can come off the line and then having them hand me one was amazing,” Hellmuth said after a recent visit to the Miller Brewing Company plant in Milwaukee.

“You know about the promotion,” he said.

“You see it coming. You see the artwork. You approve it all. But to actually see the can, it was like winning a bracelet, it really was. I was just on cloud nine. It was awesome.”

Hellmuth will attempt to win his 12th WSOP championship gold bracelet at the upcoming WSOP in Las Vegas, which begins later this month.

If he does, it will be another exciting chapter to his life, which, incidentally, is currently being scripted for a soon-to-be-lensed film: a biopic, or biograhical picture.
