Add Poker Stars (www.pokerstars.com) to the list of online poker rooms giving away chances to wins seats at the upcoming World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas.

Poker Stars says it will hand out a whopping 80 seats to the WSOP Main Event, which is a $10,000 buy-in, Texas hold ‘em tournament.

Qualifying freeroll tournaments for the WSOP Main Event started last month at Poker Stars and will continue through June 28.

The freerolls commence once an hour every day at five minutes past the hour, meaning there are 24 WSOP freerolls daily.

The top 50 from the Round 1 freerolls are to get tickets to the Poker Stars One Million Dollar Giveaway weekly finals, which will determine who gets the free WSOP Main Event seats.

All Poker Stars customers are given one entry per week for the freerolls. =A0 Main Event seat-winners in the competition will not only get $10,000 from Poker Stars to cover the buy-in, they will also get free hotel accomodations at the Palms hotel and casino in Vegas and $2,500 in expense money.

The WSOP begins on May 30, but the Main Event will not get underway until July.

Then, once the Main Event tournament field is whittled down to a Final Table of nine players, play will be suspended for 117 days and resume in November, as was announced last week by WSOP honchos.
