Written by Tom Somach in Poker NewsNo one was injured when when a gun-toting woman robbed a video poker parlor Friday in Beckley, West Virginia, USA.
According to media reports, the robber, an overweight white woman about five-feet-five-inches tall, entered Lucy’s, a Beckley video poker parlor, at around 9 a.m. Friday, showed a gun and ordered two employees to give her all the parlor’s cash.
After scooping up the money, the bandit locked the two employees in a closet and then fled on foot, the reports said.
The employees managed to escape after about an hour inside the closet, and then called police, the reports said.
No one was hurt in the robbery, the reports said.
Police did not disclose how much money was stolen, the reports said.
According to police, Lucy’s was previously robbed last February 3, media reports said.
In that robbery, two men broke into the parlor and stole a safe, the reports said.
Police, however, say they do not believe the two robberies are related, the reports said.
