According to media reports, a police officer making a traffic stop at about 2:30 a.m. on August 7 was informed by two men in another vehicle that they had just been robbed.
The men said they were professional poker players and were playing poker with three other men in a nearby apartment where poker games and tournaments were regularly held.
As the five played, four armed bandits entered the apartment through an open rear door and robbed the poker players.
Each poker player was robbed of between $200 and $800.
No one was injured in the robbery.
The bandits were described as young black men.
The robbery victims were from the Detroit suburbs of Garden City, Livonia and Dearborn Heights.
