massive online poker tournament open to the public that runs from

A Canadian poker pro who won a major Canadian poker tournament last week
was arrested shortly after the victory and charged in connection with
six murders.
According to Canadian media reports, Sophon Sek, 30, of Cloverdale,
British Columbia, Canada, last week won the 2009 British Columbia Poker
Championships (BCPC) at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond,
British Columbia, earning $364,364.

The largest cash pot in the short history of online poker was won this
week by poker pro Patrik Antonius.
According to media reports, Antonius was playing online Monday night at
Full Tilt Poker (www.fulltiltpoker.com) with an unknown player from
Sweden.

For the second time in recent weeks, a man has won a women’s poker
tournament.
This time the spectacle occurred in Stateline, Nevada, USA, when a
22-year-old college student named Greg Sessler on Monday won the tourney
at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe hotel and casino.

According to media reports, Pollack turned in his resignation on
Thursday, just three days after the 2009 WSOP concluded in Las Vegas.

Main Event in Las Vegas, two men are left standing–or sitting, as the
case may be.
Americans Darvin Moon and Joseph Cada will go head-to-head Monday at the
Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for the right to be called Main Event
champion–and earn just over $8.5 million in cash.
