hi guys/gals. new to site new to poker hope someone can help me .we started a poker night at our local club,one night six players.flop was J,10,A,A,A,all folded except george and me both went all in, i asked george what he had he said he had a 10, i said i had one to ,i then asked if he had the A, he said no he had a 9 i was about to say i had the J but others at table started saying it was a split pot, i said it cant be they say because i said i had a 10 it was a split pot i said thats only six cards not seven they said doesnt matter.i reluctantly split pot to save a big arguement. can someone please advise im sure it will happen again.thank you thomas

A split pot is correct. The extra card in your hand would only be used as the kicker if the hand was less then 5 cards.

You both have a full house which is a 5 card hand.

if you had J10 then your best hand is AAAJJ and he had 109 which means his best hand is AAA1010 which means that you won the pot.
